Most lip balms and lip gloss on the market use petroleum byproducts or chemically made ingredients as base oil, and then add in all kinds of artificial colorings and other chemicals. Other chemicals are often added as well, such as microcrystalline waxes, hydrogenated oils, chemically made sunscreen, artificial coloring and preservatives. Since most products on the market are chemically made with all these additives, they are not natural enough, and there might be some heavy metal residuals remain. Background Story
Nutrition consultant, Jessica, has a very sensitive skin. When she was working as a nutrition instructor ten years ago, she had been travelling around the whole country because of work. The naturally hand-made lip gloss is prone to be oxidized; please store it under the shades and with cool temperature. If it is opened and without using for a period of time, store it in the refrigerator, just simply take it out when use. Avoid storing in high temperature (ie. in the car), this would prevent oxidation. It is the best to finish within 1 year. If there’s any rancid smell, discard it immediately.
